Coffee Hour after both services

It's a wonderful time to meet up with each other, meet new people, and just gather after the services. We'll provide bagels every week, and we welcome contributions of cookies, cake, donuts, fruit, and other savory goodies. Simply drop it off in the Great Hall before or after the service and we will put it all on a serving platter. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Our annual blessing of the backpacks kicks off the school year! Bring your backpacks to church for a blessing by the priest! We'll bless at both services -- the 9 & 10:30 am.

Our annual fall celebration of coming together again, and welcome to newcomers. Join us for service at 10:30, followed by lunch in the church yard with a hot dog and ice cream truck! All welcome. Great for kids, and all ages. 

NEW! Mother Storm recorded a self-guided audio tour that you can take any time you feel like brushing up on your knowledge of our church. Look for more to come, and please share it! This tour covers the basics of our church itself: the architecture, baptismal font and altar, and some of the windows. You can find it on our church app any time. 

We're looking for volunteers to help in various ways with our 175th anniversary celebrations. Options are: Gala set-up or check-in, help with our Zero-Waste effort, flyer distribution, tech help, help with advertising, and more. Many hands make light work!

Remember your first time to St. James? Hopefully you were welcomed by a friendly face! We're looking for more greeters to welcome people as they walk through our doors, especially our first-time visitors. Your friendly greeting will very likely be what people remember years from now. Whether you're a newcomer or have been around for a while, we'd love you to join the Greeter Corps!

We are so thankful for each and every pledge made to St. James. Ongoing financial contributions from parishioners are how Episcopal churches operate. If you take advantage of anything in the church--worship services, classes for kids and adults, outreach programs, fellowship, anything at all--please make a pledge to help us sustain these programs. The annual average pledge at St. James is approx $3,500.00. By the numbers, it costs $6,000.00 per family to do everything we do. Click the picture above to make a pledge. It's easy and secure.
