Have You Made Your 2025 Pledge?
Pledges made in advance and paid throughout the year are vital to our parish. This is how Episcopal parishes support themselves, from the ground up. If you enjoy worship or any of the programs at St. James the Less, please show your support by making a financial pledge. For more information, a digital pledge card, an FAQ sheet and more information, click the button below. Thank you! Some useful facts about our Appeal and Budget: • The average pledge at St. James is ~$3600. Some give less, some give more, based on their ability. • Of our $900,000 budget, we need to raise $485,000 in parishioner pledges to keep our current programming and staff. • With 150 families and a $900,00 budget, it costs $6,000 per family to run St. James. • So far we've raised $364,700 with 101 pledges now in. • People pledge from as close by as me, right on our church campus, to as far away as Toronto. • Every household counts and makes St. James the thriving, fulfilling place that it is! Children's Village Gift & Cookie Drive - Please drop off by December 15thMany thanks to our cookie and gift volunteers! We're very grateful to everyone who has volunteered to bake or buy gifts for the boys at Children's Village. We had a wonderful response to the gift list, and we ask that they be dropped off at the Nursery School office by December 15th at the latest. Please leave them unwrapped! We still need a few dozen cookies and the sign up is below. Just a reminder that cookies should be dropped off in the upstairs library by 11:00 am on Sunday, December 15. The elves of St. James will package the cookies, organize the gifts, and drop everything off to the five houses that we have sponsored at Children's Village. Thanks again for your support! A Herald of OthersOn John the Baptist's Adult & Infancy On the second Sunday of Advent, Mo. Storm talks about the appearance in our readings of John as an adult, and then as an infant--the latter being one of the sweetest stories in the Gospels, as told in the song his father sang at his birth, The Song of Zechariah. John's humility began, incredibly, as the first wish of a father for his child. For more infomation visit: https://www.stjamesscarsdale.org/podcasts/sermon-podcast/2024-12-08-a-herald-of-others

Interested in a Pilgrimage to Turkey in 2026?Inquiry Meeting after Church on January 12 According to the Acts of the Apostles, Paul’s conversion to Christianity took place in a profound, life-changing experience on the road to Damascus. We embark on an unforgettable journey to retrace the footsteps of Paul through Turkey and Greece to discover firsthand the sights, sounds, and feelings that he may have had as he taught about the life and works of Jesus Christ. We’ll see the seven churches of Revelation “which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” As we walk where Paul walked, perhaps we too will have profound, life-changing experiences on ‘the roads’ of these ancient lands.
