Palm Sunday Pony RidesSunday April 13 + 9:00 - 10:30 am Join us for pony rides in the church yard as we remember Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Rides are followed at 10:30 am by a Palm Sunday procession, led by the pony. |

Palm Sunday ServicesSunday April 13 + 9:00 & 10:30 am Join us for Palm Sunday services. Both services begin with a procession (a shorter version at the 9 am, a longer version with ponies at the 10:30 am), and continue with the Passion Reading and Holy Communion. All ages always welcome! |
Wednesday Eucharist & Bible StudyWednesday April 16 + 9:00 am Join us for this simple, mid-week service and reset yourself spiritually. The service in the chapel lasts about 25 minutes, and is followed by a Bible Study in the Isom Room. Come to one or both. This week we'll be discussing the Easter texts from all four Gospels, looking also at some corresponding art from the Christian tradition. All welcome. Drop in as you can. |
Maundy Thursday ServiceThursday April 17 + 7:00 pm Join us as we remember the institution of the first Eucharist, followed by the stripping of the altar as we prepare for Good Friday. This service marks the beginning of the "Easter Triduum," the three most solemn days of the church year, and is a moving way to begin these important days in the church. Following the service, the chapel will be open all night for prayer and silent reflection. |

Maundy Thursday VigilThursday April 17 + 8:00 pm-8:00 am Our overnight vigil is in memory of Jesus' request that the disciples stay up and watch with him through his agonizing final night in the Garden of Gethsemane. The church is open all night, and you may sign up to keep watch for an hour (or more), or just come by sometime in the night. The sign up is here. Children's Good Friday ServiceFriday April 18 + 10:00 am An Interactive Exploration on the Last Days of Jesus' Life. Children of all ages and their grown-ups are invited to an interactive Good Friday service. We'll wave palm branches as Jesus enters Jerusalem, wash each others' feet at the Last Supper, sit with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, walk the Way of the Cross, and even visit the empty tomb! Led by the clergy, Mo. Storm and Mo. Eliza. All welcome. Invite friends! |
Good Friday LiturgyFriday April 18 + 12 noon The Good Friday liturgy is from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and includes the Passion according to St. John sung by the choir. This is a solemn, deeply moving service, and lasts about an hour. We'll also take a "Good Friday Offering," the offering of the Episcopal Church since 1922 to the Diocese of Jerusalem. Easter VigilSaturday April 19 + 7:00 pm The First Eucharist of Easter, the Vigil (from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer) marks the passage from Lent to Easter. Includes the lighting of the First Fire, a singing of the ancient "Exultet," readings from the Old and New Testaments, the "Great Noise," and Holy Baptism/renewal of baptismal vows. All welcome, all ages welcome. This is a full Easter service, an alternative to the Easter morning services OR a liturgy to attend in addition to those. |
